Medical Update

Hi everyone,

I have a very exciting medical update to share with you.

Yesterday I saw a doctor who specialises in complex chronic illnesses who I had to wait 8 months to see. It was a huge day with almost 8 hours of travel and a very expensive bill at the end.

My appointment was much better than I could have hoped for! As I mentioned, I had to book this 8 months in advance because he is so booked out and lucky I did because he is no longer accepting new patients.
So I still don’t have a diagnosis, BUT he is actually doing something about that and believes we are close to not one but several diagnosis (don’t worry, I accepted long ago that I would have multiple illnesses not just one). He is very convinced that I have Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTs), Peripheral Neuropathy, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). He also thinks I have a very strong case for Chronic Lymes disease and bio-toxin poisoning. All of these things make so much sense to me and explain pretty much all of my symptoms which is very exciting!

However, he has given me over $1500 worth of testing to do between now and mid May and financially that is just impossible for me in such a short time. This is why I am asking for your help. I have a few short weeks to get together this amount before I see this doctor again. We are so close to a medical break through but my financial situation is holding me back. My goal of $1500 will only cover my upcoming tests but anything over that will help me pay for ongoing specialist appointments that can sometimes be over $500 a month. If you can spare as little as $5, I will be forever thankful. If you can’t spare some change, please considering sharing my fundraiser.  CLICK HERE TO VIEW

I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate all of your support, even just following my story and reading my blog is hugely supportive.

Much love,
Ash.
